DiskInternals Research (Freeware)

DiskInternals Linux Reader is a program that enables users to access Linux disks easily in a Windows environment. This program is capable of providing access to Ext2, Ext3, Ext4, HFS, and ReiserFS Linux disk partitions. Ext2, Ext3, Ext4, HFS, and ReiserFS are default file systems for the Linux kernel run by Linux operating systems. DiskInternals Linux Reader provides users with read only access to these disk partitions, as well as security feature overriding when saving data to Linux disks. In addition to these, DiskInternals Linux Reader provides data recovery functions that are capable of recovering either lost or existing data from any storage media such as FAT partitions, NTFS drives, USB flash drives, and optical discs such as CDs, DVDs, and Blu-ray. DiskInternals Linux Reader’s data recovery functions include Raid Recovery, which recovers all types of RAID arrays, the Uneraser that is used to recover deleted files from FAT or NTFS storage disks, Partition Recovery, which is capable of recovering lost disk partitions, and NTFS Recovery, which allows users to restore files from damaged or accidentally formatted NFTS disks. In addition to these, DiskInternals Linux Reader provides users with Office Recovery, which is used to recover deleted Microsoft Office documents, and Mail Recovery, which allows users to recover e-mail messages from any e-mail platform.

DiskInternals Linux Reader features a user interface similar to Windows Explorer. Users can browse through folders, change the icon size from thumbnails to large icons, and change the viewing options from a simple list to a comprehensive list that displays all file and folder information. Users can also view folders in a directory tree and preview mode.
