Demigod

Demigod is a MOBA (multiplayer online battle arena) video game developed by Gas Powered Games and published by Stardock. It was first released on April 14, 2009 in North America and May 29, 2009 in Europe. The game is set in a fictional world where gods and goddesses interact with mortals. The player chooses the Demigod as his character to defeat other players and rise into the true godhood. The game also features role-playing game elements.

The gameplay involves the player battling with other players in an arena. Once there, each Demigod are joined by support troops called minions. These minions fight to their deaths to help the player get key control points and win the battle. Each won battle enables the player to level up in the game and unlock new powers and skills. The game features two types of Demigod – Generals and Assassins. The Generals are hybrid Demigods capable of creating and supporting minions and other Demigods. Players can choose from 10 Demigods. Each Demigod character has its unique capabilities as well as weaknesses and strengths.

Aside from defeating enemies, the game also requires the player to capture nodes. Doing these help the player obtain experience points and gold. Other game elements include flags, shops, and citadels. The latter are buildings that help the player throughout the game.
