Crystal Reality (Shareware)

Crystal Player is a Windows-based video player developed by Crystal Reality. It was originally developed by Kim Bondarenko until the software was acquired by Crystal Reality LLC. The program was initially released in September 2012. The program offers a unique video kernel. It does not utilize the built-in Windows Media environment giving users extended functionality. The application also features multisampling, video postprocessing, video filters, and supersampling to help enhanced video quality. It supports a wide variety of formats including DivX, MPEG 1, MPEG 2, WMV, MPEG 4, XVid, and others.

Crystal Player provides the following features:

• Skins – The program’s interface can be customized using skins. The developer has its own webpage for a list of downloadable skins.
• Karaoke and Subtitles – The program uses an advanced subtitle engine allowing users to configure the font-style and color of the subtitles. It also features multi-coloring, fadeout, anti-aliasing, and outer-shadow. The Karaoke feature allows the program to recognize karaoke video files and subtitles.
• On-Screen Display – Aside from the main interface, the on-screen display can be configured as well. This gives users the ability to adjust color, brightness, hue, saturation, and sharpness.
• Panorama – The Panorama feature allows users to view video files in panoramic or widescreen view. However, this feature is only available in the Professional edition.

Other features available in Crystal Player include audio filters, graphical equalizer, speed troubleshooting modes, runtime statistics, Crystal splitters, Crystal AC3 audio decoder, and more.
