Cooking Academy is a time management game that was first released in 2008. Players assume the role of a student at the Cooking Academy. There are several levels to complete before graduating from school. In each level, players must cook the recipes according to the instructions on the game screen. Players must learn how to cook breakfast, lunch, dinner, and dessert. Stars are given to the player after cooking a dish. Five stars are the highest score the player can get.
Cooking Academy is played using the mouse. Clicking the mouse button performs tasks, such as slicing, dicing, cutting, chopping, or flipping food on the pan. For other cooking tasks like mixing, peeling, or grating, players must use the mouse and follow the direction of the arrows shown on the screen. Players go through a final exam after cooking all the food in a course. The final exam consists of different tests, such as mashing, decorating, or simply separating eggs. Dishes get harder to cook as the game progresses, as more steps are added for the procedures. Players are free to replay the dish to get perfect scores.
