Call of Duty: World at War or CoD: WaW is a first-person shooter video game that was first released in 2008. It is the fifth title in the Call of Duty series of games. The game is set in World War II. There are plenty of weapons available in the game, but players are only allowed to carry two at a time. Hand grenades are also used. The game a campaign divided into two – Soviet and American. Players assume the role of a Private. Players must lead their team to victory by defeating enemies.

There are 15 missions in World at War, and there are thirteen death cards that are hidden within the game. The death cards must be collected to unlock cheat codes for co-op mode of the game. The game can also be played in multiplayer mode. There are six game modes in multiplayer mode, which include capture the flag and a deathmatch. The co-op game mode allows four players to battle.

Call of Duty: World at War features a total of 23 maps (13 multiplayer, 3 maps with multiplayer maps, and a free map). Just like the previous Call of Duty game, World at War has three kill streaks:

• Dogs – dogs will come in the map and attach enemies for 60 seconds
• Artillery – targets a specific area on the map to be attacked with artillery shells
• Recon Plane – shows enemies as red dots on the map
