Brothers in Arms: Hell's Highway

Gearbox Software (Proprietary)

Brothers in Arms: Hell's Highway is a first-person shooter tactics game. It is the third game in the Brothers in Arms game series and it was first released in 2008 (Microsoft). The game follows the story of the soldiers of the 101st Airborne Division during the later years of the Second World War.

The game is based on Operation Market Garden, a real-life mission whose goal is to infiltrate the enemy borders, capture the enemy and defend the bridges. In the game, the player assumes the role of the Matt Baker, a Staff Sergeant of 101st Airborne Division, and his squad as they capture and defend the Eindhoven Bridge. Hell’s Highway offers the same gameplay. Aside from the single-player campaign, a multiplayer mode, where players can team up to up to 10 players, is also available.

Like other Brothers in Arms games, Hell’s Highway is squad-based. When Matt Baker issues a command, he also uses the same hand signals used in WWII infantry. Players can also fire weapons from the third person point of view and cover themselves by hiding behind objects.

Other added features in Hell’s Highway include:

• New specialized units – machine gun and bazooka teams
• New health system
• Situational Awareness system replaced with a Tactical Map
• Action cam
