Bible Explorer is a program for users who want to study the Bible. Users can download different kinds of Bibles from the developer’s website once the program has been installed in the computer. The program has an easy search feature where users can type text or topic to find a specific passage. It also has a tabbed interface, so users can have several passages open all at the same time. One of the main features of the application is the integrated word processor. This allows users to write their own notes, lessons, and sermons. All files can be backed up and restored as well.
Other features of the program are the following:
• variety of viewing formats (line, Jesus’ words in red, paragraph)
• support for highlighting passages
• adjustable text size
• support for keyboard shortcuts
• planner for scheduling Bible readings
The program’s interface is simple. The left pane consists of three tabs – Library, Discuss, and Community. Command buttons can be found on the top portion of the window. The program settings window enable users to set the program to launch at system start up, check for updates every set number of days, and to specify the path of the program’s library.
