ALPass is a password manager that securely stores usernames, passwords, and other log-in information. The program is portable and can be saved into a USB thumb drive or other portable devices. Users can store an unlimited amount of log-in information for different websites. This eliminates the need to list down all of the passwords. All the information is encrypted using 3DES, which is an algorithm that encrypts the information three times. The application has an auto-submit and auto-complete feature that automatically fills in the log and submits the log in information when a website is visited.
ALPass has a simple interface that beginners will be able to use. At the top of the main window, the buttons are Site List, Add, Modify, and Delete. Users can change the log-in information and the settings on the main window. The application can be used by system administrators or individuals to keep track of all their log-in information. Other features of the application include the following:
• Backups of the log-in information
