Advanced SystemCare is a Desktop Utility program first released in 2005 by IObit. Formerly called Advanced WindowsCare Personal, this application aims to improve the speed and performance of personal computers.
It has two main features – Quick Care and Deep Care. The Quick Care offers two functionalities. These are Maintain Windows and the Diagnose System. The Maintain Windows cleans the registry, spyware and junk files. The Diagnose System is used for preventing spyware, repairing, and optimizing system configuration and defragmenting the disks. It also includes a security analyzer that finds hijacked settings.
The Deep Care feature offers a more in-depth system care. It performs all the Quick Care tasks to a higher degree. It also includes additional fixes and scans to its list, such as system optimization (with multiple presets), disk defragmenting, and a Windows vulnerability fix. All the changes done by this application are recorded on its log allowing users to check how the changes affect the computer.
The Advanced SystemCare program also includes the Active Boost feature. This feature runs in the background of the computer. It improves the performance of the computer by managing its system resources. Other utilities/functions included in this program are admin, tune-up, and security tools.
The tune-up utilities are used for fixing and cleaning disks, removing duplicate shortcuts, and boosting the computer system. The Admin tool includes Windows manager, startup, Disk Explorer, and Restore Center, while the Security utilities can be used for backing up the files and checking for system files.
