Adobe Premiere Pro CS6 is an application used for timeline-based video editing. It was created and released by Adobe Systems, Inc. The CS6 version was officially released by Adobe on May 7, 2012. This version provides several enhancements and new features including an improved user interface. Premiere Pro’s interface is customizable allowing users to redesign the workspace, project panel, program monitors, and other areas according to preference.

Improvements have also been made in the program’s editing workflow including improvements on the Mercury Playback Engine, Multicam, Trimming, Continuous Playback, Adobe Dynamic Link, and others. Premiere Pro CS6 also made changes in the Audio Workflow. Its Audio Mixer has been redesigned and now includes two modes of visual metering, meter options, and individual dB scales for faders and meters. The Audio Workflow also features an improved and customizable Audio Meter Panel. The program also added audio track functionality, DSLR workflow, and enhanced audio channel functions.

Workflow enhancements and program effects include:

• Adjustment Layers – The program now includes adjustment layers that are used for controlling color correction and more.
• Warp Stabilizer Effect – The Warp Stabilizer feature available in After Effects is now available in the Premiere Pro CS6. It is used for smoothing out shaky footage.
• Rolling Shutter Repair Effect – Premiere CS6 offers this effect for repairing clips that contain rolling shutter elements.
• Adobe SpeedGrade Color Correction – This is used for exporting sequences straight to the Adobe SpeedGrade.
