Adobe After Effects CS3 is a digital compositing and motion graphics program published by Adobe Systems. The CS3 version was first released on February 22, 2008. The program is mainly used for creating visual effects and motion graphics. It enables users to alter, composite, and animate media in both 2D and 3D environments. It is available as a part of Adobe Master Collection and Creative Suite 3, or as a standalone program.
Adobe After Effects CS3 offers several new features including Shape Layers. This added feature is a tool for creating vector graphics. Unlike previous versions, it now has the ability to create vector graphics instead of doing this using a separate program. Another new tool included in After Effects CS3 is the Puppet tool. This new tool enables users to create animated characters. It can be used to layers and shapes. This version can now be integrated with Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Flash. This enables users to use certain features from Photoshop (e.g. Video Layers, Layer Styles, and Vanishing Point) and Flash (e.g. creating and exporting cue points). The CS3 version also adds the Per-Character 3D Text feature, which provides users with the ability to position or animate individual text characters in a 3D environment.
Other new features include in Adobe After Effects CS3 include:
• Video for mobile
• Adobe Clip Notes, and
• Color Management Workflow
Aside from added features, After Effects CS3 also made changes to some of the tools and functions available from previous versions.
