Adobe After Effects CS3 is a digital compositing and motion graphics program published by Adobe Systems. The CS3 version was first released on February 22, 2008. The program is mainly used for creating visual effects and motion graphics. It enables users to alter, composite, and animate media in both 2D and 3D environments. It is available as a part of Adobe Master Collection and Creative Suite 3, or as a standalone program.

The CS3 version also adds the Per-Character 3D Text feature, which provides users with the ability to position or animate individual text characters in a 3D environment.
