Ad Muncher 4.9.3

AdMuncher is an application that blocks pop-up advertisements and advertisements displayed by different programs. Aside from blocking advertisements, it is also capable of blocking sounds and scroll bars. Users can add filters to block any component of the website that is bothersome. With the program, pages can load faster and reduce download size, too. AdMuncher works as soon as it is installed in the system. It supports all major web browsers including Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome, Opera, and Safari.

The AdMuncher configuration window allows users to set the parameters for removing advertisements. It can be used by novice and advanced computer users, since most of the options are in the form of tick boxes. Site behavior that can be changed include removal of background images, preventing activities when the website is closed, preventing reloading of websites, and many more. The ‘About’ tab displays a summary of the program’s activities including the advertisements removed by the program and the bandwidth saved.
