Zombies Ate My Neighbors

LucasArts (Proprietary)

For many years now, zombies have been pop culture icons. Playing with the innate human fear of the unknown and the dead coming back to life, it is no wonder how easily the concept of the undead spread throughout the world and influenced many people. Along with pop culture references such as Michael Jackson’s Thriller and countless movies, the cult icon status of zombies is here to stay. Now, from LucasArts comes Zombies Ate My Neighbors, a game that plays with the concept of B-Movies and other classic horror references.

Originally developed and published for the Super Nintendo and Sega Genesis, it has since been ported to various other platforms such as PC. The game takes one or two players and lets them fill the shoes of two characters named Zeke and Julie. Zeke and Julie find that they suddenly have to rescue their neighbors from undead creatures as Dr. Tongue unleashes these vile creatures of the night that he has resurrected, onto suburban areas. With various weapons and power-ups, this run and gun game will prove to have players on the edge of their seats as they end up right on the doorstep of Dr. Tongue himself and stop him from enacting his evil plans.
