DAYTONA USA Deluxe

SEGA ENTERPRISES. LTD. (Proprietary)

Daytona USA Deluxe is an update for the racing video game Daytona USA, developed by SEGA and released on 1997. In this game, the player drives a Hornet car across three types of race tracks. The game also enables users to choose whether to drive using manual or automatic transmission. The objective of the game is to win the race by outrunning all the other cars. However, the player also has to complete the race before the time limit is reached. Daytona USA Deluxe also offers multiplayer support through linking eight deluxe cabinets or four of the twin cabinets to create a multiplayer game for up to 8 players.

Daytona USA Deluxe is an update for the other Daytona USA games including Daytona USA, Daytona USA Circuit Edition, and Daytona USA: Championship Circuit Edition. Cars for the games depend on the type of transmission. Manual transmission cars consist of red, yellow, and black Hornets. Automatic cars come in two colors: blue and red. The Hornet cars look similar to the Chevrolet Lumina or Chevrolet Beretta, although the Beretta was never used in any NASCAR competition. Manual transmission cars have slightly faster speeds at 325 kilometers per hour, while automatic transmission cars have 315 kilometers per hour speeds.

Daytona USA was released on several platforms including PlayStation and Xbox Live Arcade.
