ScrapeBox

Softtouch Software Design (Proprietary)

ScrapeBox is a search engine optimization (SEO) tool that enables users to automate tasks related to looking up and harvesting URLs for product research, blog posting and commenting, and submitting RSS feeds. With this tool, users do not have to manually look up URLs when they are doing product or competitor research for Internet marketing. It comes with a footprints feature that searches for Movable Type and Wordpress URLs and blog posts so that users can easily gather lists of relevant links. This feature is particularly useful in finding new blog posts to comment on, researching competitors, and gathering information that can be used in the users’ next articles or blog posts.

Users can also enter their own custom search terms or footprints and these will be stored in the program’s Footprint Library should the user decide to use these in the future. ScrapeBox helps users harvest links from numerous search engines, such as Google, Bing, Rambler, DogPile, and TalkTalk. The custom link harvester can also harvest and test proxy sites while it is getting URLs from search engines. Another interesting feature is its RSS Submission Module that enables users to send Pings to several RSS Services with just one click. Users can add the services they submit to and delete them if they no longer function.
