Battles are fought in different fronts across the Middle East and the United States.

Battlefield 2 features different classes of Infantry that players can choose from. Players can be assault soldiers, medics, or even anti-tank troopers. Each class of soldiers carries different weapons or materials. For example, assault soldiers lug around assault rifles and grenade launchers, while anti-tank troopers carry missiles to counter tanks’ heavy armor. At the start of the game, players can choose what class of soldier they’ll be. This option is also available when re-spawning, or after picking up a certain kit from a wounded soldier. Support classes include the Medic, the Engineer, the Support, and the Sniper. The Medic can heal and revive soldiers, the Engineer can repair vehicles, and the Support team can replenish ammunition.
