Benito van der Zander (Open Source)

TeXstudio is a LaTeX editor that was first released in 209. The program consists of tools and features, such as syntax highlighting, code folding, and spell checking. The application comes with several templates for starting projects. Some of these include templates for a book, an article, a report, or a letter. Users who do not want to make use of the templates can create their projects from scratch.

The application has an easy-to-navigate and intuitive user interface broken down into different sections. The program’s task buttons and menus are placed at the top portion of the window. On the main area, the left panel displays the tools, including symbols, letters, arrows, bookmarks, and others. Other key features of the TeXstudio program are the following:

• Advanced Build System – The program has support for a variety of LaTeX compilers, glossary, bibliography, and index tools.
• Results Viewing – Comes with a PDF viewer and a tooltip for viewing images that are included in the project.
• Comfortable Editing Features – The application has a variety of editing features, such as drag and drop support, auto completion, scripting support, bookmarks, and jumping to error locations.

The application provides users documentation on all the projects created. This program can be used by novice and advanced programmers.
