Independence War 2 - Edge of Chaos

Particle Systems Ltd. (Proprietary)

Independence War 2 - Edge of Chaos is the sequel to the game Independence War, a simulator game with a space combat theme. It features a non-linear gameplay and a realistic flight system that is based on Newtonian physics. There are four space ships available to the players and over a hundred weapons that can be upgraded. Ships are equipped with thrusters that help them change directions while in motion.

In this game, players assume the role of a pirate explorer in space. Independent settlements in space are being conquered by evil corporations, and players are set to take revenge upon them because of revenge for the character’s father’s death. Players form alliances with various factions and gain a solid reputation as a pirate. Space travel can be done by engaging a linear-displacement drive system or LDS, which makes players cover long distances in a short time. Through LDS travel, players can also repair their ships quickly.

The game is saved when players return to their base. Upon docking, players can also change ships, check their inventory, manufacture weapons from recycled materials, and trade their stolen goods for new equipment. The base is where players can access their message files in order to know about new missions.
