The Great Escape is a stealth adventure video game that was first released in 2003. The game follows the storyline of the move with the same title, which was released in 1963. The player gets to play four different characters in the game. The four characters are:

• Sedgwick – capable of fixing devices that are mechanical in nature
• Hilts – an expert on picking locks to get into different locations
• Hendley – a pickpocket who is useful for acquiring different items, such as keys and papers
• MacDonald – speaks German fluently and can disguise himself as a guard

The game features 18 levels, with each level having different kinds of tasks and objectives for the player. Despite being based on the movie, there are big differences in the game, which results in an ending that is different from the one in the movie. The game takes place during World War II and the player’s character has been captured and taken to a war camp. The aim is to escape the camp ruled by Nazis. Player must equip their characters and allies with the right tools in order to escape the hands of their captors. In the end, all four characters that are available for playing are able to escape from the camp.
