SafeHouse Explorer 3.01

PC Dynamics, Inc. (Freeware)

SafeHouse Explorer is a security program that is used for encrypting files and folders in order to keep valuable information safe. It is also capable of hiding folders on the computer. This is useful especially when the computer is shared by several users. It makes use of 256-bit encryption to ensure that data is protected. Files, folders, external drives, servers, CDs and DVDs can be protected by this application. It has an explorer-like interface, which makes it easy to use for both novice and advanced computer users.

The program is divided into two sections. The left panel of the main window displays the drives and folders that are inside them. When a drive is selected, all the folders contained in them will be displayed on the right side of the window including the complete filename, size, type, and when it was last modified. Under the Tools menu, users can change passwords, create a new SafeHouse volume, create a self-extracting volume, copy files to a memory stick, or check a volume. More features of the application are listed below:

• Users can create storage vaults that are as big as 2Tb
• Has a graphical password meter for helping users see if passwords are strong enough
• Support for creating self-extracting vaults
