Adobe Systems, Inc. (Shareware)

Adobe Bridge is a stand-alone media management and file browsing application developed by Adobe Systems, Inc. This application initially began as a component of Adobe Creative Suite when the Adobe CS2 was launched. The Adobe Bridge uses an interface that works like a file browser used in earlier versions of Adobe Photoshop. It provides a way to organize, view and access media files from a single application. Media files can be viewed from different locations without finding and opening the folders independently. The Adobe Bridge application can be accessed from all Creative Suite components except for Adobe Acrobat 8.

The Adobe Bridge software features Meta Data storage. It stores the Meta data for all the stored media files, which can be used to browse media files. It also provides complete information about the media files, which can also be used as a keyword to find and organize certain media files. The software can view almost all types of files. It also has a Star Rating feature that can be used to view and sort images according to their given ratings. A Filter Panel is available to browse for media files based on different settings such as file format, star ratings, keywords, etc.

The Adobe Bridge program features Adobe Mini Bridge. This feature is a customizable window panel within Adobe Photoshop, Adobe InDesign and Adobe Photoshop Extended programs. With Adobe Mini Bridge feature, media files can now be viewed directly from InDesign, Photoshop and Photoshop Extended without switching to the Adobe Bridge program.

This software also features batch processing. The Adobe Bridge program can conduct batch processing of raw files and batch renaming. The Adobe Bridge also provides Centralized Color Settings. The program can be used to set color settings from the Bridge panel for InDesign, Adobe Acrobat X Pro, Illustrator, Photoshop and Photoshop Illustrator projects.
