Flickr Downloader is an application that allows users to download photos from the photo sharing site Flickr. Users must have their own Flickr account in order to use the application. The program’s interface is simple and intuitive. Users have access to all their photos in their account and they can choose which ones to download by adding a check mark on the box under the photo. There is also an option to download the image in small, medium, large, or original size. The program shows thumbnail previews of the photos available. Afterwards, users just have to click on the “Download selected photos” button to start the process.
Aside from downloading photos, Flickr Downloader can also be used to create a Flash slideshow out of the downloaded images. This can be added to a website or can be used as a screensaver on the desktop. When creating the slideshow. There are different customization options available including the width and height of the slideshow, the background color, transition effect for images, and the rotate time for images.
