Nuclear Dawn is a first-person shooter and real-time strategy video game developed and published by InterWave Studios. It comes in a multiplayer mode and features the premise of a post-apocalyptic war between rival factions – the Consortium and the Empire. The plot is set in the late 21st century, wherein the world is in state of utter chaos and devastation. The game offers a mode called Warfare in which players can form teams that consist of a maximum of 16 members. Each side should engage in combat under the leadership of one commander. The players must fight one another to gain resource points that enable the team to construct buildings. To completely defeat the rival team, a unit must win in combat and eliminate the enemy’s bunker.

Field soldiers are classified into four categories, each possessing a unique set of strengths and weaknesses. Players can equip their field soldiers with an array of artillery such as shotguns, rifles, explosives, and miniguns among others. There are also several environments features in this game including Japanese cities, Russian nuclear plants, and other post-apocalyptic locations. On the other hand, Players assigned to commanders must focus on tactics coordination, which are influenced by the environment and physics-related factors. New technologies can be unlocked as the team expands their territory and conquer enemies.
