Total Audio Converter

Softplicity (Proprietary)

Total Audio Converter is an audio conversion program developed by Softplicity and released on February 2013. The program supports several audio file formats including MP4, FLAC, WAV, MP3, OGG, AAC and WMA. It also provides some customization options for the output audio file including compression, file type, and bit rate. The program likewise allows users to make trims and cuts on the audio file before the conversion process. Total Audio Converter also offers two other tools—the video downloader and CD Ripper.

Total Audio Converter features a classic grey user interface. The menu bar features options for File, Edit, Convert, and Help menus. The second toolbar enables users to choose the target output format for the audio files. Below that are two windows—the File Tree view on the left and the main conversion window on the right.  Users can select specific folders on the File tree window. Files contained in the folder are displayed on the main window. Users select specific files using tick boxes corresponding to each file. Files are displayed with corresponding audio duration, artist, and album.  The bottom window allows users to change audio metadata including the Artist, Album, Year, and Genre.

Total Audio Converter also offers a Combine feature allowing users to combine audio files included in one album into one long audio file. Users may also download audio files using the YouTube Downloader tool. The CD Ripper and Writer tool allows users to rip audio files from discs and save converted audio files into disc media.
