Metrowerks CodeWarrior is an application that is originally developed by Metrowerks and has since been acquired by Motorola Company. This program is technically an integrated development environment, or most commonly known as IDE, that is used to create programs that can run in a variety of embedded platforms. It uses the following assembly codes (old and new versions): C, C++, Objective-C, Pascal, Object Pascal, and Java.

Earlier versions of Metrowerks CodeWarrior were developed for PowerPC Macintosh. Other versions were later released for Microsoft Windows and Linux. Other systems compatible are Solaris, Palm OS, Symbian OS, PlayStation 2, Nintendo DS, Nintendo GameCube, and Wii.

Metrowerks CodeWarrior is a fully featured program that gives visual simulations and provides easy construction of complex embedded programs. This enables users to create projects and source files. They can also build, run, or debug projects. This simulator features a simple-to-use interface. It has information display, which include files or sources, file names, data types, processes, register values, memory, and size.

The menu on the interface includes Project and Edit. Users can create or open a project under the Project menu. It is recommended to specify the kind of project to make. Other than that, they can edit the project by selecting Preferences, Language Settings, and other submenu options.
