jetCast 2

jetAudio (Bundled)

jetCast is a program used for establishing a user’s own broadcasting station and is bundled with jetAudio. Once a user installs jetAudio, jetCast is also automatically installed. Users can start broadcasting as long as there is an Internet connection available. Broadcasting can be done through WMA, OGG and MP3 modes. The program offers two ways to broadcast – through internal jet server (jetCast) and through an External Server. Broadcasting through External Servers allows users to broadcast to IceCast/ShoutCast. Other external servers are supported through the program’s JCServer.

After broadcasting, the program sends out the information about your station to its directory server. This allows other people connected online to view and listen to your broadcasting. Broadcasting to private listeners is also possible with the program’s Private Broadcast option. This option will block listeners who aren’t allowed. Users can also remove a broadcast list, sort playlist, and choose sorting method using this application. As for broadcasting, jetCast features basic functions including Start/Stop Broadcast and Playback Control functions. A control panel for playing music/microphone volume is also available. There’s a preference configuration-setting panel for microphone where users can add sound effect. There’s also a window for monitoring volume and mixer controls. Aside from broadcasting, jetCast also offers a chat feature where users can connect with their listeners through jetChat.
