Adobe Photoshop Album Starter Edition

Adobe Systems Incorporated (Proprietary)

Adobe Photoshop Album Starter Edition is a digital photo organizer that was first released in February 2003. The program automatically adds photos found in the computer to the library. Users can also download photos from cameras directly to the application via a USB cable. The program supports batch importing of up to 15,000 photos. Adobe Photoshop Album Starter Edition has some basic editing tools for photo correction including red eye removal, changing color levels, auto contrast, crop, and rotate. It also features an AutoSmart Fix tool for automatic enhancement of photos. Edited images can be compared side-by-side by clicking on the ‘Before & After’ tab.

Aside from managing and editing photos, the Adobe Photoshop Album Starter Edition application can also be used to create PDF slideshows. Users can select which photos to add to the slideshow and click a button to create it.

Here are other features of the digital photo organizer:
• Attach photos to e-mail messages (AOL, Hotmail, Outlook, Outlook Express, and Eudora)
• Fast user switching
• Import movie clips
• Can be used by beginners and professionals
• Image tagging

The full version of the program has been discontinued and the developer recommends Adobe Photoshop Elements as a substitute to Adobe Photoshop Album Starter Edition.
