WebDrive 11

South River Technologies, LLC (Shareware)

WebDrive is a storage application that integrates various servers into the Windows desktop, allowing users to select their preferred applications to edit files and save these to the server directly. With this application, users do not have to download a file in order to access and edit it. Among the supported servers are Google Drive, WebDAV, FTP, Dropbox, and FrontPage. The selected servers appear as network drives on the desktop, with their own network drive letter. Aside from providing direct server storage, this utility also has the following advanced FTP features:

• SSL and SSH encryption, used for fast access and secure file transfers
• Support for Digest Authentication, used for WebDAV servers
• Resuming of interrupted downloads
• Support for Unix file permissions
• Selection of auto ASCII or binary transfers

WebDrive may be used by those with basic skills, because users do not have to learn how FTPs work. It has a familiar and intuitive interface similar to that of regular network drives. One of the key features is its support for online cloud storage devices such as Amazon S3, Dropbox, and Google Drive, which users may already have. Users may also control the amount of disk space they would like to use for each file cache for easier file storage management.
