4shared Desktop Setup is a tool for managing 4shared accounts. 4shared is a file storage service that allows users to upload files online. 4shared Desktop Setup enables users to manage accounts without having to use a web browser. Users must have a 4shared account to user the program. Upon logging in to the account, the program displays the main window where all the files are shown. The Folder Tree shows all the folders present in the account. The list of files and folders displays all the items inside a selected folder. There is also a list for all the files that are going to be uploaded to 4shared.

Uploading files can be done by selecting the files to upload or by dragging and dropping the files on the 4shared window. Once all the files are selected, click the ‘Upload’ button to start the process. Users can choose to stop uploading anytime and continue uploading at a later time by clicking on the ‘Resume’ button. In case there is an error when uploading, users can open the log window and send a support ticket to know how to solve the error.

All uploaded content will have a download link. The download link can be viewed by clicking on the ‘Go’ button and the link will be opened on a web browser.
