Real Lives is an educational simulation video game that was first released in 2001. In the game, players get to experience what it’s like to live in different parts of the world and in different living conditions. Players can act as computer operators, policemen, factory workers, and farmers, among others. At the start of the game, players are given the option to choose their living conditions, social activities, and occupation. They can start their own families and every decision that they do in the game affects the overall outcome. Throughout the course of the game, players get to experience different conditions in the form of random events that can occur anytime. This can include power outages, flooding, war outbreaks, and diseases.

Players get to play the game from the point of the character’s birth up to death. Different areas covered by the game include economic opportunities, religion, war, political systems, and geography. This game enables students to learn about different life experiences all over the globe.
