PhotoBase

ArcSoft Inc. (Shareware)

PhotoBase is an application that enables users to manage their multimedia files. Developed by ArcSoft, it has a simple interface that is based on the Explorer layout, contributing to its familiarity and making it easy for users to navigate within their folders to locate their photos, video, and audio files. This program provides users with a preview display and tools for creating new albums, renaming files, rotating images, importing from a scanner, viewing EXIF information and other file properties, taking a screenshot, and even attaching audio to specific files. Furthermore, its editing tools allow users to enhance, resize, draw, crop, and add text to photographs.

Here are some of the functions users can do with PhotoBase:

• Manage multimedia – this utility lets users preview their photos, rename files individually or by batch, change the size of thumbnail images, and rotate photos easily. This also lets users create an archival CD to free up some memory space.
• Edit photos – this application contains a full set of editing tools that enable users to enhance photo quality. Users can adjust the brightness and contrast, add text, and remove red eye from photos.
• Create multimedia albums – users can make HTML albums that contain photos, videos, and their own audio as soundtrack.

PhotoBase also has tools that make it easy for users to scan multiple files at once and share their multimedia collections online.
