PuppetShow: Mystery of Joyville ™

PuppetShow: Mystery of Joyville is a mystery hidden object game that was released in 2009. In the game, the hotel owner calls on the player to help find a missing boy named Simon. Different items must be found in several locations available, such as an old theater, a hotel, and The Master’s house. As the game progresses, the player gets clues on the whereabouts of the lost boy. More of the storyline is also revealed. Aside from looking for the items, users can also interact with the game environment by clicking on certain areas on the screen. These areas are indicated by a sparkle. There are also areas in locations where there are two sparkles. These areas are scenes wherein players must look for items that are needed in order to proceed with the story. Additionally, there are concealed areas where an item must be removed before an area can be opened.

The game’s story is told in sections through newspaper clippings and notes that can be found throughout the game. Hints are also available when the player is stuck in one location. Whenever a hint is used, a random item on the list will be encircled. There is no limit to the amount of hints to be used, but it takes a minute for the hint to recharge.
