1C Game Studios (Proprietary)

IL-2 Sturmovik is a flight combat simulation game set in perilous World War II. It is considered the pioneer or first installment of the IL-2 Stumovik game series. The game was named after the mass-produced ground-attack fighter Soviet IIyushin II-2. IL-2 Sturmovik features 31 different flyable planes along with 40 non-flyable ones. The former is for the players while the latter represent the opposing forces. Since the game is realistically based on the historical World War II, players are to choose the country they want to represent at the start of the game. The countries included in the selection are: Australia, USA, France, Japan, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, Poland, Slovakia, Finland, Hungary, Romania, New Zealand, the United Kingdom, and the USSR.

IL-2 Sturmovik is an online game that is capable of supporting up to 100 players in one gaming session through its multi-player feature. Online gaming sessions are best delivered via Xfire, The All-Seeing Eye, and Hyperlobby platforms. The video game is designed to bring players a realistic World War experience. Its graphics display is enhanced with realistic physics modeling to depict authentic replicas of the flight machines. Each aircraft or flight vehicle presented in the game has been drawn in detailed blueprints to ensure the quality of the gaming graphics and animation. On the other hand, the damage modeling and aerodynamics features ensure that accurate explosions, shooting, and bombing effects are realized.
