No One Lives Forever - Game of the Year Edition is the 2001 special edition installment of the No One Lives Forever or NOLF series. It was released after the game won several “Game of the Year” recognitions. The video game is a fast-paced, first-person shooter with stealth gameplay. It is a story-driven video game that melds 1960s spy film antics with comedic elements. No One Lives Forever - Game of the Year Edition revolves around the different undercover missions of skillful protagonist Cate Archer. Archer works for UNITY, a top secret organization built to maintain world peace.

No One Lives Forever - Game of the Year Edition features a special mission entitled '”he Operative: No One Lives Forever.” Additional weaponry and gadgets have been incorporated into the armor suite while maintaining the conventional devices on the list. All of the gadgets are designed to appear as female fashion accessories, giving Archer a more fashionable edge. The game begins with Archer being assigned to accomplish several missions set in a number of locales including: East and West Germany, Morocco, the Alps, and the Caribbean. Players are tasked to guide Archer in overcoming several obstacles and challenges; such as scuba diving in an abyss of wrecked ships, free-falling from a flying plane without the aid of a parachute, and exploring a spaceship filled with villains in outer space.
