Kastor Free Vimeo Downloader is an application used for downloading videos on Vimeo, a popular video-sharing site. Through this program, the user can download videos and then convert them to popular video formats, like AVI, WMV, and MP4. In this way, the downloaded videos can be played on desktop applications such as QuickTime and Windows Media Player. Moreover, the downloaded videos can be transferred and then played on various portable devices, like the iPod Touch, tablets, and other multimedia players.

To use the program, the user must first search for a video on Vimeo's website. After that, the URL of the video is copied from the webpage’s address bar and pasted on the program's user interface. The user simply needs to click the "Download" button to start the download process. Before clicking the download button, the user may opt to change the output format. This can be modified at the lower portion of the interface. The program also supports batch downloading of Vimeo videos and then converting them simultaneously. When the video is converted, it will be in the size and aspect ratio similar to the settings specified by the user. These settings can be configured each time before the download.
