Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare

Activision (Shareware)

Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare is a first-person shooter game that was initially released in 2007. The game is the fourth title in the Call of Duty series. It focuses on modern warfare as opposed to other games in the series, which were set in World War II. Players control different characters throughout the game. Players must finish all the objectives on a mission to move on to another character. Missions include orders like killing enemies, defend someone, plant explosives on enemy locations, or arrive safely at checkpoints.

Modern Warfare can be played in multiplayer mode wherein players must come up with a strategy in order to do the objective. In this mode, the player with the most points when the time is up wins. Another way of winning is by achieving three, five, and seven enemy kill streaks. Killstreaks is a new feature of the game where the player must kill a certain number of enemies without dying. Players who have successful killstreaks are awarded with helicopter support, unique assets, and airstrikes.

Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare operates on the IW Engine, a game engine developed by Infinity Ward. It features dynamic lighting, shadows, depth of field, as well as HDR lighting effects for a better game experience.
