WordConverter

WordConverter is a document file converter developed by Abdio Software and released on December 2011. This program enables users to convert files across various file formats. These file formats include Microsoft Word 2007 DOCX, Microsoft Word 97-2003 DOC, plain text format TXT, and Rich Text Format RTF. The program converts document files to image format files including BMP, JPEG, GIF, and TIF, among others. This program also features support for Adobe PDF file conversions.

WordConverter has a grey and blue Windows-based user interface. The left tab features the common file and folder paths including Recent Places, Desktop, Computer, and Network. The window shows the contents of the selected folder. There is a preview box on the upper right portion of the interface showing a preview of the current file selected. It also shows the document’s number of pages and zoom percentage. The lower portion of the window shows the File Name and Output path. Users may select the output path by clicking the browse button on the far right. To choose the output format, users can choose from a drop down list under Save As Type. To start the conversion process, the user can click on the Convert button located on the lower right portion of the window. The status bar shows the number of Selected files, the number of Converted files, and the number of files that are still being processed.
