Perfect Effects 3 Free is photo editing application that consists of effects and styles that can be added to images. It works as a standalone program which can also work like a plug-in especially for other editing software, such as Apple Aperture, Adobe Lightroom, Photoshop Elements, or Adobe Photoshop. The effects library has more than 70 effects. A preview of what each effect looks like when applied to an image can be seen when the library is accessed. Some of the effects include dark glow vignette, cross process blue, HDR Subtle, Graduated Blue, and ColorChrome.

Perfect Effects 3 Free lets users combine effects to form a unique blend. In addition, there is an option to add the effect to a part of the photo and not the entire image. This is possible with the masking control feature. Users can easily select the part of an image to modify and the rest retains the original look.
