Neverwinter Nights Diamond Edition is an installment of the Neverwinter Nights video game series which is a third-person role-playing computer game released in 2002. A role-playing computer game is a genre of video games where the player controls the main or one of the protagonists, as he traverses the fictional world and goes through battles or a series of challenges. This diamond edition includes the expansion packs Shadows of Undrentide, Hordes of Underdark, and Kingmaker. Expansion packs are additions to an existing computer game.

Neverwinter Nights Diamond Edition comes with three main campaigns and three standalone adventures. Campaigns are storylines that the player can pursue. The player can create their own character including the gender, race, class, as well as the skills they would want to develop. As a role-playing game, the player controls everything that happens to his character such as his movement, healing, and attack moves. Once players have gone to the campaigns and standalone adventures, they can also play the stories that others have created with the use of the Neverwinter Nights Toolset. Modules can be downloaded and played free of charge. Players can play the game using hotkeys or the computer mouse. The hotkeys can be set depending on the player’s preference.
