City Interactive (Shareware)

Sniper: Art of Victory is a video game that is published and developed by City Interactive. It was released in the United States on October 3, 2008. The game’s setting is the second World War when Germany was trying to take over the world. The back-story involves the counter-offensive ordered by the Soviet commanders against the 3rd Reich armies occupying Stalingrad. In this game, the player takes the role of a Soviet sharpshooter who was shot down at the enemy’s territory. The player’s goal is to kill the Nazi general and help the Alliance while going against the resistance in the Italian Peninsula.

The gameplay is similar to most first-person shooter games. But, one of its distinct features includes the Snipe Mode, wherein it allows players to zoom the player’s perspective. This mode also provides various displays and gauges. The Snipe Mode also considers real-life factor effects including wind resistance, wind direction, and target distance. It even considers the character’s heartbeat. A single breath can move the screen requiring the player to hold his breath while taking a shot. Aside from a sniper rifle, the player can also use other weapons. The player can also use a knife and a Luger. Getting other weapons including guns and grenades which are scattered around is possible as well.
