Lock On: Modern Air Combat

Lock On: Modern Air Combat, or simply LOMAC, is a flight simulator video game which is the follow-up to the flight Flanker 1.x to 2.x game series. The game mainly involves air-to-ground and air-to-air combat with certain optional roles like anti-radiation/pinpoint strikes, aerobatics, or anti-ship strikes. Players can fly seven aircrafts such as Su-33, Su-25, Su-27, F-15C, Mig-29C, Mig-29A, and A-10A.

As a aircraft simulation game, LOMAC is capable of mimicking the landing and take-off aspects of the available aircrafts, as well as Aerial refueling, AWACS, and carrier-based landings. The game features a virtual world, which was based on the area of the Black Sea. The virtual world features more than 180,000 buildings, 500 bridges, 21 cities, 50 million trees, 18 airfields, and 8 naval bases that all affect the player’s flight experience.

Lock On: Modern Air Combat also features the following:

• Mission Editor – This feature enables users to edit existing missions and create new missions. The editor features particular functions such as creating routes and choosing targets for tanks, ships, and defense systems. Setting the weather, seasons, and time, is possible as well.
• Battle Planner – This feature allows players to create custom missions. This planner also offers several scenario settings.
• Campaign Editor – Aside from the mission editor, the game also offers an editor used for editing and creating full-length campaigns.
