Halo is a science fiction video game that was first released in 2001. The game revolves around a war between humanity and the Covenant, a group of aliens. It is set in the 26th century. Players control Master Chief. Master Chief is accompanied by Cortana, an artificial intelligence attached to his battle armor.

Halo is a first-person shooter game and players go through the game in the character’s eye view. However, the view switches to third-person perspective when the character controls a vehicle. Master Chief comes equipped with an energy shield. Weapons used in the game include plasma weapons, grenades, guns, and many more. Players can track enemies, aliens, and moving vehicles with the motion-tracker on the screen. The motion-tracker only works within a certain radius. The main enemy in the game is the Covenant, which consists of different groups of alien species like the Elites, Grunts, Jackals, and Hunters. Each of these groups has their unique abilities and characteristics. Another enemy is the Flood, an alien life form that manifests in three ways.

The Halo game can be played in multiplayer mode. A maximum of 16 players can play the game simultaneously. There are also five competitive player modes.
