Marvel - Ultimate Alliance

Raven Software (Proprietary)

Marvel: Ultimate Alliance is a game which features superheroes and super villains in the Marvel Universe, as they appear in the Marvel Comics publications. The game requires the player to choose four characters from more than 22 playable characters to form a team. They can also choose to form one of the superhero or super villain teams like Fantastic Four, X-Men, Avengers, or the Defenders, among others. Forming any of these groups gives the player some bonus points. This game also features alternative endings depending on optional missions or team members. Marvel: Ultimate Alliance also offers trivia information in-game, artwork, and bonus items like simulator discs. These discs unlock character-specific missions that may not have any bearing on the storyline.

Marvel: Ultimate Alliance kicks off with the Masters of Evil and Dr. Doom’s attack on U.N.N. Alpha, a S.H.I.E.L.D. Helicarrier. Nick Fury calls out for assistance from Marvel superheroes, and Thor, Captain America, Wolverine, and Spider-Man came. The Masters of Evil led by Bullseye, Scorpion, Radioactive Man, Fin Fang Foom, and Winter Soldier, were prevented from carrying off the Helicarrier. However, Nick Fury realized the need to confront these super villains and decided to create a task force.  Iron Man lends them the Stark Tower as the task force’s main headquarters.

Marvel: Ultimate Alliance features more than 140 characters to choose from.  Each character may be customized and upgraded in terms of costume, power, defense, and speed.
