TriviaMachine 1.0

HipSoft LLC (Shareware)

Trivia Machine is a trivia video game developed and published by HipSoft LLC. It was first released on November 3, 2004. The gameplay involves the player answering different trivia questions with varying difficulty from different categories. The game features nine categories and three levels of difficulty (i.e. elementary, scholar, and genius). The player’s goal is to climb the highest spot in the trivia ladder by correctly answering each of the questions.

To play the game, the player must click on one of the three levels of difficulty. Each level of difficulty displays a different category for each round. All questions are in multiple-choice format. The player must click on his/her answer before the time runs out. Every correct answer gives the player a higher spot in the ladder. However, every incorrect answer causes the player one spot from the ladder. The level is complete once the player reaches the highest spot in the ladder before running out of turns.

Players can also get help from the game by clicking on the “Remove A Wrong Answer” button. Clicking this button removes one of the wrong answers from the choices. However, using this feature will reduce the score value by 50%. The game also features power-ups that are attached to some of the questions. Some of these power-ups include double points, triple points, and extra turns. Players can only get these power-ups when they answer the question correctly.
