MusicLab RealGuitar

MusicLab, Inc. (Shareware)

MusicLab RealGuitar is a virtual guitar that allows musicians to create songs and arrangements on the computer. The program features a multi-layer technology that allows users to use the built-in samples that are based on the sound of a real guitar. Another feature is the floating fret position technology, which enables musicians to recreate chords on 104 frets by using the keyboard. With the use of a MIDI controller or a MIDI keyboard, users can also perform different guitar techniques, such as bending, plucking, strumming, and sliding. The application also offers five performance modes for playing – chords, solo, bass and pick, bass and chord, and harmony.

MusicLab RealGuitar comes with a chord editor that allows users to make changes to the fingering of the chords. The pattern manager also comes with a pattern library containing more than 1200 styles for accompaniment. With the built-in techniques, users can also create unique compositions. Some of the techniques included in the application are muted strums, mono bend, trill, hammer on, strum layers, and reverse bend.

Other features of the program are the following:

• Comes with high-quality guitar samples
• Support for joystick mode or MIDI guitar mode
• Allows users to mimic a real guitar and perform different techniques
