Bonnie's Bookstore Deluxe 1.0

Bonnie's Bookstore Deluxe is a puzzle word game that was released in 2005. It was developed by New Crayon Games and published by PopCap. Similar to word games, it lets players form words from blocks of letters jumbled in the puzzle. One major difference with other word games is that in Bonnie's Bookstore, the game's story is tied to every stage the player clears.

Bonnie's Bookstore Deluxe's main character is Bonnie. She inherits a bookstore from her grandfather who passed away. Wanting to keep the bookstore open, Bonnie soon stumbles upon her old grandfather’s paintings. This inspires her to become an author.

The game's plot involves clearing stages by forming words from jumbled letters. Whenever the player clears a stage, Bonnie is able to write a new chapter for her book. Players can choose to play the Classic mode for casual play. There is also an Action mode where there is a timer for each level. Obstacles are thrown out in the form of the "writer's block." These blocks don't have letters. It only has the word “Writer’s Block” in it. If players continue to form words under it, the writer's block will disappear. Players have the option to scramble the letters.
