CDisplay

David Ayton (Freeware)

The CDisplay application is an image viewer that is capable of displaying images similar to a comic book layout. The program supports image files, such as JPEG, GIF, and PNG. It was packed using Borland C++ Builder 5.0 Image can be viewed in one page, or two pages at a time. The application is also capable of viewing image files that are contained within an archive file (.ace, .zip, .rar, .tar). Viewing image files can be done in different ways. The program has a full screen mode and window mode, too. Flipping through pages can be done in single keystroke.

The CDisplay software makes use of Lanczos resampling to provide the best picture quality when viewing images. Lanczos resampling is used in image scaling for digital images. This makes the larger scale image clear, even when zoomed in. The program displays images without decompressing the file.

Here are more features of the program:
Support for Comic Book Archive files (.cbr, .cbz, .cba, .cbt)
Automatically loads images in order
Automatic page sizing options
Clean user interface for better viewing
Optimized for DRM-free comic books and manga

The CDisplay application’s development stopped in 2004. However, the program can still be downloaded for free.
