Condor - The Competition Soaring Simulator

Condor Team - Uros Bergant & Gregor Rozman (Shareware)

Condor - The Competition Soaring Simulator is a flight simulator software developed by the Condor Team. This program is developed to simulate real-time competition soaring. This program features weather and aerodynamics physics integrated into the game environment. This game is available in single player mode and multiplayer mode for up to 32 pilots.

Condor - The Competition Soaring Simulator features accurate sailplane handling and performance simulation and sailplane damage simulation including high G stress, collisions, and flutter.  A physics engine that can perform up to 500 cycles per second and accurate ground forces like crashes, landings, and takeoffs, as well as realistic winch starts and towing are included. Realistic thermal life cycles are available, whose strength and location depend on ground and terrain sun exposure. Thermal cycles are also affected by sun travels. Winds include up slope winds created by sunny ridges. The presence of wind turbulence, venture effects, as well as atmospheric pressure, temperature, and density may be observed.

The program has realistic and animated plane cockpits. Players may choose from a variety of airplane classes including Standard class, FAI 15 class, 18m class, Open class, Acro class, and School class. All airplane classes feature realistic handling and speed polars. These units also feature flexing wings, moving parts, and environment mapping. The cockpit is equipped with a fully animated pilot and all the trappings of a modern cockpit including speed command, and averager, among others.
