Red Orchestra 2 Heroes of Stalingrad

Tripwire Interactive (Bundled)

Red Orchestra 2: Heroes of Stalingrad is a First Person Shooting (FPS) game developed by Tripwire Interactive as the second release to its Red Orchestra game franchise. The first one, Red Orchestra: Ostfront 41-45 was released on 2006. As the title suggests, Red Orchestra 2: Heroes of Stalingrad is based on the historic Battle of Stalingrad in 1943.

Red Orchestra 2: Heroes of Stalingrad features a realistic FPS gameplay. Firearms behave as real-life firearms do. Players should take into account the spin and bullet drop when aiming and firing. There is no ammo counter so players need to remember how many bullets they have fired. The character can also check the weight of the gun; the lighter it is, the fewer the bullets are in the magazine. The character may also hide behind objects found in the game world to avoid being hit. The objects enable users to peek out and take aim. However, gunfire cover depends on the composition, size, and shape of the object. Smaller and flimsier objects will not provide maximum cover than concrete objects and big ones do. There is no health regeneration over time, neither are there medical supplies the player can take to heal. Minor wounds need to be bandaged or else the player will bleed out and lose health.

Red Orchestra 2: Heroes of Stalingrad also allows users to board and control vehicles like tanks. This game features two tanks by default—the Panzer IV and Soviet T34. This game also rivals some tank simulation games when it comes to detail and controllability.
