Adobe Premiere Pro

Adobe Systems Inc. (Shareware)

Adobe Premiere Pro is a video editing program developed by Adobe Systems, Inc. Premiere Pro is the successor to the Adobe Premiere program. The first version of the Premiere Pro was released in 2003.  The program works by importing a video file from supported sources (e.g. HD or camera) then allowing users to edit the video and later on export it back to another medium. Using this program, users can edit, arrange and manipulate video elements in a visual timeline. It can also be used to add different video filters and effects.

The program offers a comprehensive set of tools for editing videos. Its user interface enables users to work on several aspects of a video file. The program’s main workspace has several panels with each panel consisting of the available tools/features. These panels may also be customized to suit the user’s needs and style. Editing videos in real time is possible with this program as well. Its GPU-accelerated performance enables users to perform video editing tasks all in real time. It also offers GPU-accelerated effects to control alpha channels, aspect ratio, pull-down removal, time remapping, vector keying and more.

Adobe Premiere Pro supports almost all multimedia formats and media sources. This enables users to work on any type of multimedia from any source without having to transcode or rewrap a file. The program also offers features to help manage projects, clip and sequences. Tools for attaining precise audio control from videos are available as well. The program can be integrated with other Adobe products (i.e. Adobe After Effects, Adobe Audition, Photoshop and more) and third-party environments.
